It is against this backdrop, that the premiermost research organization of India , Bhabha Atomic Researc Centre , has developed these unique ultrafiltration membranes.

Most of the existing membranes are in either spiral, capillary or hollow fibre form.

The draw back with these configurations was that they could not be completely cleaned physically,so due to deposition of suspended solids , their output decreased with time.
The membranes developed by BARC are in cylindrical configuration, and so free from this limitation.

Dolphin UF Water purifiers do not require electricity to function, as they use the hydrostatic force of water column, developed by the overhead tank of water installed in the house(When the situation is grave, use the gravity) to deliver safe drinking water to the people .

The deluxe model has an additional alumina column, using activated alumina which is approved as per the stringent NSF-61 standards,which reduces fluorides to bring it to within acceptable levels.
As it is a dead end device there is no wastage of water.
