Description
Comparison Test Pump are portable pressure generators which can be used simply and quickly for measuring, testing or calibration purposes, thanks to their i low weight and ease of operation to operate. Used in combination with a precision master gauge, such systems are ideal for on-site monitoring of
pressure gauges.

Construction of Pump
Robust construction enabling pressure of upto 400 kg/cm 2 to be generated easily & without great physical effort using a hand operated spindle.

Operating instructions
A pressure gauge is calibrated in comparison with a test gauge by connecting the two in parallel to the same pressure. The pressure is created by a hand-operated pump turned by a capstan. Fit the test gauge on the left-hand banjo, using a suitable BSP adapter. Fit the gauge under test on the right-hand banjo, using a suitable adapter. Unscrew the reservoir cap and fill with liquid. Kerosene is recommended. Replace the cap. The system should now be primed. Open the valve by screwing it anti-clockwise; screw the ram in fully by turning the capstan clockwise; then screw the ram out fully by turning capstan anti-clockwise. Repeat this operation
until bubbles stop appearing in the reservoir. Then screw the ram fully out, and close the valve. Now compare the gauge by building up pressure with the capstan. A very fine control can be obtained. Forbes Marshall test gauges are manufactured to an accuracy of 0.5% and must be handled very carefully.

Test Gauge
Forbes Marshall test gauges can be used for the reliable testing of your process gauge, manufactured to an accuracy of 0.5%. Available in the range of 2.5 to 700 kg/cm 2
